Mike and Inetta were introduced New Year’s Eve, of 2005, performing with the R&B group, TWT. Contact was lost for eleven years until Mike came into Kingston Mines to jam with a band called “Mississippi Heat, which Inetta was a part of. Later Mississippi Heat would need a guitar player for a tour in Canada. Inetta remembered Mike and suggested him for the tour.
In 2017, Mike suggested that they should record some original material. That cd ended up being “Black & Blue”. Mike wrote the majority of the tunes. Mike played all the instruments and handled the arrangements. The songs that Mike wrote included “Finally”, “Can’t Hold Me Down”, The Time Has Come”, “The Judge”, “I Can’t Love You”, “Nice To Know You”, “Can’t Get Over You”, “Country Girl”, “Get To The Point”, “Make No Mistake”, “Blues All Over Again”.
“Keep Calling Me by Her Name” was a collaborative effort, lyrics by Inetta, music by Mike.
Songs of despair, love lost, cherished memories, mistaken identity, deceit and reoccurrences.
Inetta Visor ever since a child, Inetta had always had a passion for singing. One day she decided to try out for an audition she heard announced by a WVON radio DJ for Rock ‘N Roll choir DUBBER RUCKlE.
She was selected to sing with this choir.
She sang with TWT, Sisters with voices & Tainted Blue.
In 2000 she was recommended by longtime acquaintance Theresa Davis to well-established (since 1991) Chicago Blues band MISSISSIPPI HEAT, who already had several CDs out.
Since she joined the band, they have recorded twelve albums and a DVD with Inetta, all of which have received awards. Inetta also won the Best Blues Singer competition at the House Of Blues (Chicago) on July 10, 2003.
